Our Executive Director - Elizabeth (Liz) Moran
Liz Moran serves as MESA's Executive Director, handling the day-to-day operations of the organization, as well as all meeting and event planning. In addition, she maintains the Web site and is responsible for sending out all the e-blasts and other news and information members have come to expect.
Liz has an extensive background in association management, with hands-on experience in virtually every area of operation. She has a bachelor of arts in English, with a minor in public relations. She has been publisher, writer/editor, photographer and graphic designer for a variety of publications; and she has produced numerous public relations and promotional pieces, media releases, marketing materials for conferences and events; and has written speeches/presentations for herself, organization leaders and officers, and a successful candidate for political office.
Prior to joining RAMM, Liz was Executive Director of the Manufacturers Association of Central Florida (MACF) and—simultaneously—the Florida Young Artists Orchestra (FYAO), a Central Florida regional youth orchestra.
During her tenure with MACF, Liz was instrumental in increasing corporate membership from 97 companies to 135 and developing a non-dues revenue stream through a business insurance plan for members.
With the FYAO, Liz created a national-award-winning recruitment program, and produced concerts and banquets that seated more than 600. Her fundraising efforts included a mailer that generated more than $10,000 in donations, and grant writing that yielded nearly $20,000 in funding. Liz also worked in member services for the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society (AESF), being moved to that role from that of Managing Editor of AESF’s technical journal, Plating and Surface Finishing. She processed dues billings and payments, and developed a flexible membership recruitment brochure with inserts. In addition, she published a newsletter for leaders of local branches of the society, and developed a successful fundraising campaign for AESF’s Research Foundation.
At the Florida Association of REALTORS® (FAR), she was an award-winning writer, as well as editor/photographer for Florida Realtor magazine, for which she also maintained its non-member subscriptions and coordinated the efforts of its advertising sales force.
